UNH has become a home for the Wildcat Friends. Everyone navigates the campus as if they have been there forever and the students are great comrades with their peers. Back to Stillings dining hall for the Wildcat Friends! Today we were joined by two curious young ladies from Newmarket High School. The girls got a taste of UNH using the transit and making new friends at the dining hall. Everyone got their fill of healthy grub and then enjoyed the walk to the church on such a gorgeous day!  Theater class started as usual with stretching and moving to the music. Then the group did a run through of the production and everything seems to be going great! After a few tweaks and corrections the class did some fun acting exercises and got silly together. Class ended and the group switched gears to work with Collette from Holloway Commons. Collette has just finished her instructor training in Laughter Yoga and came to share her new knowledge! The Wildcats Friends group along with the sisters of Alpha Xi Delta and the brothers of Pi Kappa Phi brought on the laughter without a problem! There are 40 different yet basic Laughter Yoga exercises that are being practice around the world.  The idea was developed by Indian physician Madan Kataria. With the thought that our bodies cannot recognize the difference between real or fake laughter and the release that laughter gives us can last for days. Thank you Collette, the session was amazing and such a joy! VERY GOOD, VERY GOOD, YAY!

We are winding down towards the end of the semester. The theater group has done their homework and the lines are getting stronger as well as stage direction and facial expressions. The group has started to bring in props and work with them to give a finished look. Everyone is very proud on stage and we are sure you’ll all enjoy the production. Over at the dining hall folks had a hearty meal and enjoyed it amongst friends. Group one went to New Hampshire hall and did some stretching, warm ups and a tag game then the large group was broken into four small groups and went over a research questionnaire that was designed to help the physical education students. The questionnaire asked how do Wildcat friends enjoy themselves on campus, who they enjoy hanging out with, what is their favorite part about their UNH experience and what’s their least favorite part of Wildcat Friends.

Due to the Easter weekend our beloved dining hall was closed, so the group went over and got treated like celebrities by the Holloway Commons staff. Within minutes tables in the very full dining hall were reserved and it just so happened to be a special lunch and the culinary folks had made special Easter inspired deserts. The change was nice and we are so very lucky to have such a great relationship with our friends at Holloway. A big thank you to Holloway!  After the great meal we walked over to the Durham Community Church for more Grease rehearsal. Today students had the opportunity to view parts from Grease the movie to help them develop their character more. The acting has become so developed and well thought out. Each individual has the opportunity to shine in their own way. May 2^nd can’t come soon enough to showcase these guys! After class came to an end Phi Kappa Phi and Alpha Xi Delta came to help with community service
around the church. Folks had brought rakes from home and really got to work to make the peace garden as beautiful as can be. The group also walked the
perimeter of the building picking up trash and getting some of the leaves under control. After clean up, the group was rewarded with soda and sweets and a Lint
Chocolate bunny to take home. It was truly a great day to be a wildcat.

Dancing fools is what these Wildcats are! They all love to dance and sing and knowing the music really helps. The run through today went great! The group is really enjoying this production. Bet you can’t wait to see it! The theater group met up with the bus rides at Holloway commons and enjoyed a great lunch together. Then group one headed over to Lord Hall, where Julia had us all outside for some parachute games. Then Ben led us in some really fun handshakes and silly games such as starfish tag and marathon.
