WCF 2.24.12

All is good and fun at UNH for the Wildcat Friends Program! Eating in Stillings and walking to class is our typical gig on Fridays. Once over at theater we stretch as a group and get right into some theater exercises. Today we started off with setting a scene and adding actors in.  We had a few people eating at a dinner table.  Oddly enough when asked what they were eating they responded “beans.”  We then transitioned into using a shiny piece of fabric to see what each student
would turn it into…some folks used it as a magic carpet, others used it as a dress or head wrap. All in all the activity made each participant think outside the box and act silly. The class ended with practicing some Grease songs and playing the game “pass the squeeze.” With our brothers from Pi Kappa Phi and sisters of Alpha Xi Delta we broke into groups to serenade each other. Each group had a few chances to hit our prop table for dress up items. Then the three groups had
a half hour to choose a song, practice and perfect it before performing for everyone else. We had a great Rocky inspired performance of, Eye of the Tiger. We saw the Back Street people perform, I want it that way. And the day came to a close with Shania Twain, I feel like a Woman. Everyone had a great and fun time. We look forward to the dance team next week!
