WCF 4.20.12

UNH was buzzing with busy folks and the Wildcats were no different. They have places to go and people to meet not to mention lunch to chow down on.  We gathered together at our usual table in Stillings Dining hall to chitchat, eat and prepare for the afternoon. We strolled over to the church for theater while observing folks doing all kinds of fun outdoor activities. The run through of the production went great! Everyone is excited to showcase what a ham they can be on May 2nd. Our recreational piece for the afternoon was Project 54 and no, it’s not a night club on campus.  It’s a very cool state of the art simulator that gives the driver the sensation of truly driving a car through a city or a wintery country road with slippery conditions. The car itself was a 2000 Ford Focus that they cut in half in Ohio and shipped to UNH. The rearview and side view mirrors are computer screens that are synced to the main computer that projects the driving conditions in front of the drive on a very wide screen. Everyone had a chance to drive the car and it was very entertaining as folks who have yet to drive found the gas pedal very liberating. Also the car body moves along with the impact of the driver so if one chooses to slam on the breaks, you truly feel it in the car. Please check out the pictures, we had some great photo opportunities! Next week folks will be dining at Wildcat Pizza due to Stillings being closed for a private function. Drop off is at the usual place at Stillings and we will then walk over to Wildcat Pizza.
